Sunny Side of the Doc: Submission Deadline Extended to May 4th
Filmmakers can submit their projects for the pitching sessions of this year's edition of Sunny Side of the Doc (SSD) until 4 May 2016. The SSD team announced the extension of the submission deadline earlier today while emphasizing that the extension applies to all pitching sessions except for the EBU Science sessions (the deadline for the EBU Science pitching remains unaffected by this announcement).
The extended deadline will give filmmakers, who plan to pitch a project at SSD, more time to take advantage of registering for SSD under the EDN Umbrella stand. EDN will this year again be in charge of an umbrella stand in order to facilitate the participating stand members with international network contacts and individual consultations. Participants can save up to €250 on their accreditations when participating via the EDN Umbrella Stand.
EDN will help the participating producers network & match-make with other documentary professionals and potential financiers. At the EDN stand, key documentary players will be invited to speak about different aspects of international documentary filmmaking and financing.
When participating in The EDN Umbrella Stand, participants will be offered:
• Participation under EDN Umbrella: 380€ excl. taxes (instead of 630€) — includes 1 programme or project in the catalogue
• Participation under EDN Umbrella + commissioned project/project in development: 490€ excl. taxes (instead of 690€) (this is the option to choose if a producer decides to submit a project)
