New Commissioning Editor at SVT’s K Special
SVT, the Swedish public broadcaster, has hired Charlotte Gry Madsen as part of the commissioning team for their cultural strand K Special.

Charlotte Gry Madsen will join the K Special team on December 1, 2013. At K Special she will be working with the head of the strand Emelie Persson.
Charlotte Gry Madsen is currently working with DR Sales at the Danish public broadcaster DR, where she has a position as Co-production Manager.
The position at K Special became vacant earlier this year, when Hjalmar Palmgren left the broadcaster to become head of production and distribution at the Swedish Film Institute.
K Special is SVT’s cultural strand being broadcasted on Friday evenings at 20:00 on SVT2. The strand is known for a wide interpretation of art and cultural documentaries, and includes programs on architecture, film, fine arts, litterature, etc. Among the titles previously broadcasted are Searching for Sugarman, Into Eternity, Enjoy Poverty and At Night I Fly.

SVT operates six channels. Five national channel being SVT1, SVT2, SVT24, children’s channel SVT B and together with UR, Kunskapskanalen as well as one international, SVT Europa.
