IDFA Bertha Fund Europe – International Co-production
Deadline: 1/5 - 2018. Event dates: –
This category caters to documentary projects in all stages of production that have a director from a country on the IBF Country List and that are realized through international co-productions between at least one European and one non-European producer. The maximum contribution per project is €40,000. The application has to be submitted by the European co-producer and should involve a creative element (i.e. a key crew member or post-production service) from Europe.

BFI Doc Society Fund

From 2018 Doc Society will be the BFI's delegate partner for the UK's documentary funds with £650,000 to spend annually. The BFI Doc Society Fund will be an open call fund with three funding rounds a year. The first round opens April 2018.The BFI Doc Society Fund aims to develop storytellers from all parts of the country and all communities, backing feature projects with bold cultural and social ambitions. The Miller / Packan Film Fund - Documentary Fund

The Miller / Packan Film Fund supports documentaries that Educate, Inspire and Enrich. The Fund is financed through the Rogovy Foundation. We believe in the transformational power that comes from enlightening narratives and inspiring characters. The Fund began granting in 2016. In its first year, grants totaling $150,000 will be awarded to between six and ten filmmakers. The fund operates an open call submission process, and awards are announced bi-annually. The first grants were awarded in June 2016.Each grant is one-time only and offered in amounts up to $25,000. The Fund’s subject categories are Education, the Environment and Civics.

IDFA Bertha Fund Classic – Project Development & Production & Post-production

Contributions for project development during the early phase play a crucial role in starting up a project. The maximum contribution for project development is €5,000. A contribution for project development can be spent on research, the development of the screenplay and/or the production of a trailer. Applications have to be submitted by a director or producer from a country on the IBF Country List and the contribution must be spent in a country on this list as well. Financial support for production and post-production allows filmmakers to actual realize their projects. The maximum contribution for production & post-production is €17,500.

Creative Europe: TV Programming & Cinema Networks
Deadline TV Programming: 24/5 - 2018. Deadline Cinema Networks: 31/5 – 2018.
Creative Europe: TV Programming deadlines is 24/05/2018 - 12:00 (CET/CEST, Brussels time). This scheme aims to support European production companies interested in producing a television work demonstrating: high creative value; cross-border potential; cooperation between operators from different countries participating in the MEDIA sub-programme, increased co-production and circulation of high-profile European television drama series. It supports Dramas (minimum 90 minutes duration), including sequels, second or third seasons; Animations (minimum 24 minutes duration, and Creative TV documentaries (minimum 50 minutes duration).
Creative Europe: Cinema Networks deadline is 31/05/2018 - 12:00 (CET, Brussels time). This scheme aims to encourage the networking of European first-run cinemas and the screening of non-national European films by these cinemas.

East Silver Market
Deadline: 31/5 - 2018. Event dates: October 25 – 30, 2018.
East Silver is the first documentary market, which supports producers and distributors from Central and East Europe. Each year, about 300 films from more than 29 countries are included in the market. The 15th edition of the East Silver Market will take place at the 22nd Ji.hlava International Documentary Film Festival.
