IFP Film Week
Deadline: 2 & 23/5 – 2017. Event dates: September 17-21, 2017
IFP Film Week is the place where filmmakers, artists, and storytellers cross paths with people who help move their projects forward. Creators get funding, advice, and opportunities. Industry insiders get to discover new talent and ideas. The public gets to screen new work. It’s a space where doors open, info is exchanged, and everybody gets creative. There are two deadlines: Early Deadline: Tuesday, May 2 and final Deadline: Tuesday, May 23.

Ex Oriente Film Workshop 2017
Deadline: 4/5 – 2017.
Ex Oriente Film is an international workshop dedicated to the development and funding of creative documentary films in Central and Eastern Europe. The workshop is open for 12 documentary projects represented by director-producer teams who will attend all the workshop sessions. The workshop is designed primarily for directors and producers from Central and Eastern Europe (incl. EU acceding and candidate countries, Post-Soviet states and Russia) and/ or for creative documentary projects dealing with stories from Central and Eastern Europe.

IDFA Bertha Fund - Prod- & Post
Deadline: 15/5 – 2017.
The IDFA Bertha Fund (formerly known as the Jan Vrijman Fund*) is the only fund in the world dedicated solely to stimulating and empowering the creative documentary sector in Africa, Asia, Latin America, the Middle East and parts of Eastern Europe. The fund is looking for new creative documentary projects from these countries, which can be submitted in the following categories: (1) IBF Classic: Project Development (max. contribution €5,000), and (2) IBF Classic: Production and post-production (max. contribution €17,500).

Nordisk Panorama Forum
Deadline: 24/5 – 2017. Event dates: September 24-26, 2017.
Nordisk Panorama Forum for Co-financing of Documentaries is the main funding event for documentaries in the Nordic region and the annual meeting place for Nordic documentary professionals, looking to connect with a variety of Nordic and international decision-makers. It takes place during Nordisk Panorama - Nordic Short & Doc Film Festival, the most important annual platform for the Nordic short and documentary film community.
