Public Inquiry on Creative Europe Programme Open for Entries
Creative Europe has launched an open public consultation on its Creative Europe programme including the Culture and MEDIA sub-programmes. The online inquiry is open to anyone interested in providing feedback on the relevance of the programme and its potential successor in 2020 and beyond.
With its recently launched public inquiry, Creative Europe aims to gather comments and perspectives on the relevance of the Creative Europe programme's objectives, the effectiveness of the measures taken to achieve them and the efficiency of their implementation. Thus, the consultation aims to establish the added value of the programme in relation to the challenges and opportunities of cultural and audiovisual sectors, compared to what could be achieved by Member States only.
HOW TO TAKE PART
The online inquiry is open to the general public until 16 April 2017 and can be accessed online via the website of ICF Consult. The consultation must be responded to online only, and replies sent by email will not be accepted.
The consultation covers the three strands of the Creative Europe programme, namely the Culture sub-programme, the MEDIA sub-programme, and the Cross-sectoral strand. The public consultation also includes forward looking questions regarding a possible successor programme to Creative Europe after 2020.
The results of the public consultation will be used together with the other data and evidence to inform the ongoing independent mid-term evaluation of the Creative Europe Programme. Once the evaluation is completed, the European Commission will adopt a Report, drawing on other studies and sources of information, addressed to the European Parliament and Council. This will include a summary of the results of this consultation.
