Pitching at the Baltic Sea Forum
September 5 – 9, 2018. Riga, Latvia
The Baltic Sea Forum for Documentaries is a pitching session and workshop combined with film screenings. It focuses on documentary films produced in the Baltic and surrounding countries or productions with a subject related to the region. EDN Head of Studies Mikael Opstrup will participate in the BSD as lead tutor.
The Baltic Sea Forum consists of:
• A three-day preparatory pitching workshop for the selected documentary pitching teams
• Two days of pitching where the documentary projects are pitched to a panel of around 14-16 international commissioning editors followed by one-to-one meetings
• Documentary film screenings for general public and professionals
• Professional networking and meetings during the five days in a friendly and positive environment.
During the preparation workshop from 5-7 September 2018, film producers and directors will improve their projects under the guidance of a team of international tutors.
The public pitching sessions will take place from 8-9 September accompanied by a number of renowned decision makers from the documentary industry.
