EDN at Nordisk Panorama Forum 2017

September 24-26, 2017. Malmö. Sweden.

Nordisk Panorama Forum is the main funding event for professionals involved in the Nordic documentary community. It is the annual meeting place for documentary producers, commissioning editors from TV, film institutes and regional film funds, international decision-makers and other film professionals. EDN will be involved in the pitch moderation, industry seminars and the Producers Meet Producers session.

EDN is this year once again represented at Nordisk Panorama Forum for Co-Financing of Documentaries and contributes to the event by moderating a number of sessions taking place during the forum days.  An overview of this year's involvement of EDN staff members can be found below.

EDN Pitch Moderator at Nordisk Panorama Forum 2017

September 24-26, 2017. Malmö, Sweden.

EDN Head of Studies Mikael Opstrup will be present at Nordisk Panorama Forum as one of the two moderators of the pitching session and will also run pitch consultations with the pitching teams.

During the forum, a selection of 24 projects will be pitched in public and more than 20 observer+ projects will be presented in individual meetings with decision-makers. Nordisk Panorama Forum is open to professionals that have applied for and been granted a seat. Some 280 professionals will attend the event.

Nordisk Panorama Forum is organized by Nordisk Panorama and has been taking place in conjunction with Nordisk Panorama - Nordic Short and Doc Film Festival since 1994.

Nordisk Panorama: Producers Meet Producers

September 24, 2017. Amiralen, Malmö, Sweden.

EDN Film & Media Consultant Ove Rishøj Jensen will be moderating the session 'Producers Meet Producers', a networking event featuring snappy presentations, tailored match-making and round table discussions. Producers from the Nordic and Baltic countries as well as this year’s invited guest territory will get the chance to present themselves and outline their production landscape. In addition, the event will offer insight into the Nordic film institutes’ rules and requirements.

Industry Seminar - Co-Producing with South Korea

September 24, 2017. Inkonst/NP Hangout. Malmö, Sweden.

EDN Network & Partnerships Manager Cecilie Bolvinkel will be moderating an industry seminar entitled "Looking East – Co-Producing with South Korea". A variety of successful documentary films and projects are based on co-productions between South Korea and the Nordic countries. This session will look into the significant creative and financial possibilities represented by bringing South Korean and Nordic producers together. Producers Liisa Karpo and Monica Hellström will share their insights about working with South Korea. This session is also a way of looking forward to 2018, when a South Korean delegation will participate in NP Forum.

Industry Seminar - Doing Research Right

September 26, 2017. Inkonst / NP Hangout. Malmö, Sweden.

EDN Film & Media Consultant Ove Rishøj Jensen will be moderating a session on how to reduce costs and limit risks using stock footage, stills and recorded music. The seminar features Canadian Visual Researcher Elizabeth Klinck who will reveal everything you didn’t know you needed to learn about archives, research and rights clearance.
