- Nepalin morsian / The Beloved Daughter
- Rekha has a dream: she wants to become an English teacher. However, she is already 14, and time is running out to find a husband for her. Although child marriage is forbidden by law, the practice is still common in their remote Nepalese village near the Indian border. In the Terai region, more than one out of every two girls is married off underage. Community pressure forces Rekha’s father to seek out a husband for his daughter. Although he is unable to imagine any other fate for her except an early marriage, he is nevertheless a loving father and wants to find a good husband for Rekha.
