Women Make Movies, a NY based non-profit media organization that supports women filmmakers, is seeking a Production Assistance (PA) Program Manager. The PA Program assists women filmmakers to produce and direct independent films by providing fiscal sponsorship, workshops, seminars, and various online resources. The PA Program Manager supervises a part time Program Assistant. The PA Manager will manage the fiscal sponsorship program, including review of applications, outreach for new participants, administering contributions and disbursements, preparing government funding reports, handling production assistance inquiries and working with the program consultants. Additional responsibilities include organizing and scheduling workshops and seminars, updating information resources and the PA section of our website. The position is also responsible for working with our marketing staff on marketing all aspects of the program.
SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS, AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
At least 3 years experience working in a non-profit arts organization or comparable experience.
Familiarity with foundation/government fundraising or knowledge of film production and/or financing is necessary.
This position requires someone to be extremely detailed, computer savvy, and who can successfully juggle multiple tasks in a productive and positive manner.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to meet deadlines.
Flexibility, professionalism, a positive attitude, and a sense of humor
Knowledge of, and commitment to, independent and/or feminist film.
