Productions not intended for theatrical release must pass the Culture Test, meeting 3 out of 4 criteria: Script originally written in Norwegian or Sami / Main theme connected to Norwegian history, culture or social conditions / action takes place in Norway, EEA country or Switzerland / holds significant contributions from the same countries.
Productions intended for theatrical release: priority to films with a potential for Norwegian market; long-term plans for co-operation.

1. South Fund (Sörfond), supporting films from countries listed on OECDs DAC list. A focus on films on freedom of expression. 1 – 3 films per year, between 16.000 – 60.000 Euro per film
