MOST IMPORTANT NATIONAL RESTRICTIONS

To apply the film needs to get a German Certificate of Origin. The most important restriction in this context is that a maximum of 20% of the budget must be spent outside Germany.

The German share of financing and artistic participation (can also be residents within EU member states) must be minimum 30%.

OTHER FUNDS THAT FUNDED CO-PRODUCTIONS

There are 9 relevant regional funds. Here at least 100%, in some cases more, of the funding amount needs to be spent in the region.

The regional funds all together supported 14 co-productions with a foreign majority producer with an average funding of 90.000 Euro.
