Stockholm International Film Festival
Submission deadline: 08/09 – 2019. Festival: November 6 – 17, 2019
With 29 years of experience, Stockholm International Film Festival continues to explore and promote the great directors of tomorrow and is established as one of the leading film festivals in Europe. With a passion for visionary filmmaking, the festival keeps on pushing forward the boundaries of cinema. The aim for Stockholm IFF is to broaden the selection of films in Sweden with creative new films of high quality and offer the visitor an orientation within modern film to stimulate a continuing debate.
Woodpecker International Film Festival
Submission deadline: 10/09 – 2019. Festival: November 28 – December 1, 2019
India's biggest film festival on Issue-Based Cinema. Launched in 2013 the festival is counted among the highly respected film festivals in India. WIFF provides a highly credible platform to Indie films in New Delhi. Widely appreciated for its great programming and creating excellent networking opportunities, the festival keeps the filmmakers at the center of the festival. It believes in establishing a strong relationship with filmmakers and as result the festival has gained a great reputation, with filmmakers returning again and again to showcase their wonderful films every year.
Glasgow Film Festival
Submission deadline: 13/09 – 2019. Festival: February 26 – March 8, 2020
Glasgow Film Festival (GFF) is one of the top film festivals in the UK with a focus on audiences and renowned for an international programme of the world’s best films alongside a dynamic fusion of cross-sector events and artistic commissions. Glasgow Film Festival strives to employ a wide array of diversity and representation and it actively welcomes submissions from varied ethnicities and marginalised voices as well as seeks to achieve parity in regards to the gender balance within its programme.
Year round Glasgow Film prioritises the inclusion of captioned and audio described screenings to enable people who are D/deaf and visually impaired to access and enjoy the cinematic experience. With this in mind, Glasgow Film Festival welcomes submissions that already include or can include audio described and/or captioned formats on DCP.
Sundance Film Festival
Submission deadline: 16/09 – 2019. Festival: January 23 – February 2, 2020
Sundance Film Festival is held in Park City, USA. It is the largest independent cinema festival in the United States with competition sections for both US and International documentaries. The Sundance Film Festival brings together the most original storytellers and the most adventurous audiences for its annual program of dramatic, documentary, and short films; New Frontier films, performances, exhibitions, and virtual reality experiences; episodic storytelling; lively filmmaker conversations and panel discussions; and dynamic music events.
A nonprofit organization, Sundance Institute provides and preserves the space for independent artists to create and present original, authentic new work.

International Film Festival Rotterdam
Submission deadline: 20/09 – 2019. Festival: January 21 – February 2, 2020
International Film Festival Rotterdam (IFFR) is an annual film festival held in various cinemas in Rotterdam, Netherlands. International Film Festival Rotterdam (IFFR) offers a high quality line-up of carefully selected fiction and documentary feature films, short films and media art. The festival's focus is on recent work by talented new filmmakers. However, within the four sections the Festival presents, there is also room for retrospectives and themed programmes. IFFR actively supports new and adventurous filmmaking talent through its co-production market CineMart, its Hubert Bals Fund, Rotterdam Lab and other industry activities.

SXSW – South by Southwest Film Festival and Conference
Submission deadline: 19/09 – 2019. Festival: March 13 –22, 2020
The SXSW Film Festival celebrates emerging talent from both behind and in front of the camera. Featuring provocative dramas, documentaries, comedies, genre standouts, and more, the festival has become known for the high caliber and diversity of films presented, and for its smart, enthusiastic audiences. SXSW attracts a broad, adventurous audience of press, filmmakers, industry leaders and die-hard fans alike - while tackling the evolution of all aspects of “film”, and how that definition is shifting.
