Marketing and International Distribution course call for proposals
The MEDIA Business School is calling for participants to their Marketing and International Distribution programme. Application deadline is May 30, 2014.
Marketing and International Distribution, m&id, is a programme designed to optimising the visibility and exploitation of films across platforms and markets. It is a project-based programme geared to experienced film industry professionals wishing to develop smart, engaging and innovative international marketing and distribution strategies for their film projects.
The programme will embrace the opportunities that digital media and cross-platform strategies offer to optimise the visibility and exploitation of projects across markets. The course is led by Peter Buckingham, former head of distribution at UK Film Council and BFI. In addition leading European and US professionals from both the independent and studio distribution sector are among the lectures and tutors.
m&id provides participants with detailed insight into the latest marketing trends, distribution and international sales strategies, audiences and consumer behaviour, new and niche markets, new business models and market and festival strategies.
The course structure consist of
- · residential training
- · online consultation
- · market presentations
m&id is structured as a 6 day residential training period, online consultation over 4-6 months, and Market/investor forum project presentations. The residential training will take place on June 23-28, 2014 in Ronda, Málaga, Spain. Five participants will be selected by collaborating organisations to present their course project at their market or investor forum.
The m&id participation fee is 1800€, which includes ground transport, accommodation and free or discounted accreditations to attend a number of partner festivals.
