Lau Haizetara Doc Co-Production Forum Introduces New Pitching Prize
Project teams participating in the 13th edition of Lau Haizetara Documentary Co-Production Forum in Spain will compete for a brand new pitching prize worth €3,000. The grant, which will be awarded at the forum during the San Sebastian International Film Festival, is sponsored by IBAIA - the Basque association of independent producers - and the Industry Club of the San Sebastian Film Festival.
The introduction of the new pitching prize has been announced following the renewed backing of Lau Haizetara Co-Production Forum through one of its main supporters Treeline Distribution. IBAIA and the Industry Club of the San Sebastian Film Festival are introducing the prize with the aim to further the development of quality documentaries and the collaboration involved in their production.
A list of the twelve projects competing for the new prize can be found here. The jury will consist of a panel of commissioning editors, who will choose the winning project based on the presentation, originality, treatment and potential for distribution.
The name of the winning project will be revealed during the forum’s closing ceremony, which will take place on the evening of 28th September. On the same occasion, the forum organizers will announce the winner of the Treeline Prize for distribution and festivals consultancy. Further information is also available on the Lau Haizetara website.
