Tabitha Jackson confirmed as new director of documentary at Sundance
Sundance Institute has confirmed that Tabitha Jackson is joining the organisation as the new director of the Sundance Institute’s Documentary Film Program and Fund.
A Sundance spokesperson has confirmed that the institute has selected Jackson, "but her hire is pending approval for a work visa. We look forward to making a formal announcement as soon as that process has been resolved." However, the news about Jackson being the new head of documentary at Sundance has been circulating several news site already.
Jackson replaces Cara Mertes, who previously served as director of the documentary program. Mertes left this position in May in order to join The Ford Foundation, where she is now head of JustFilms.
