San Francisco International Film Festival
Submission deadline: 09/11 – 2015. Festival: April 21 – May 5, 2016
Founded in 1957, the San Francisco International Film Festival is the longest-running film festival in the Americas. Held each spring for two weeks, the International is an extraordinary showcase of cinematic discovery and innovation in the country's most beautiful city, featuring some 150 films and live events with more than 100 filmmakers in attendance and nearly two dozen awards presented for cinematic excellence. The Festival attracts an annual audience of more than 70,000. Works in all genres, forms and lengths are considered.

One World Int'l Human Rights Documentary Film Festival

One World is one of the leading documentary film festivals dealing with social, political, environmental, media and human rights issues. One World presents over 100 documentary films from all around the globe and organizes numerous Q&As with filmmakers and experts.

BUFF Int. Children and Young People's Film Festival
Submission deadline: 15/11 – 2015. Festival: March 14-19, 2016
BUFF, the International Children and Young People’s Film Festival in Malmö, was founded in 1984. The aim was, and still is, to screen good films for children and young people as well as adults. A meeting place for people working with children, young people and film. BUFF strives to open the possibilities for more influences from Europe and the rest of the world by showing films that might never be screened otherwise. In the cinema we get to meet different cultures, hear foreign languages and tag along on endless adventures.

FIPA International Festival of Audiovisual Programs
Submission deadline: 20/11 – 2015. Festival: January 19-24, 2016
FIPA, the International Festival of Audiovisual Programs, was created to recognize, honour and promote exceptional work in the audiovisual media and contribute to the development of the audiovisual arts throughout the world in a spirit of cooperation and exchange. FIPA also calls for documentary and fiction (drama, series or web programs) television projects. 5 days to meet professionals, directors, viewers and students while discovering the year’s best programs.

Thessaloniki Documentary Festival
Submission deadline: 27/11 – 2015. Festival: March 11-20, 2016
The TDF is carried out every March in Thessaloniki since its inception in 1999. Through tributes and retrospectives, the TDF focuses on filmmakers internationally renowned for their contribution to the documentary genre.
