Festival Deadlines in June 2015
The month of June is right ahead and that means it's high time for the next edition of our monthly overview of festival deadlines. The final calls in June will come from the World Film Festival of Montreal, a Romanian animation film festival, the Budapest International Documentary Festival and many more. Locarno International Film Festival
Submission deadline: 1/6 – 2015. Festival: August 5-15, 2015
Throughout its 67 year history, the Festival del film Locarno has occupied an important position in the landscape of major film festivals. Every August, the Swiss-Italian town of Locarno, right in the heart of Europe, becomes a capital of auteur cinema. Thousands of film fans and industry professionals meet here every summer to share their thirst for new discoveries and a passion for cinema in all its diversity.

International Documentary Film Festival DokumentART
Submission deadline: 5/6 – 2015. Festival: October 8-12, 2015
DokumentART - European Film Festival for Documentaries – is a forum for European documentary film between tradition and avantgarde. It's competition program shows recent short documentaries (max. length of 60 min.) that test and transcend the boundaries of their genre. Specials on Eastern Europe, a presentation of a European film school and regional features supplement the program. The bi-nationally organized festival with European profile takes place in Neubrandenburg, Germany and Szczecin/Poland simultaneously.

World Film Festival of Montreal
Submission deadline: 15/6 – 2015. Festival: August 27th – September 7th, 2015
The goal of the Montreal World Film Festival (Montreal International Film Festival) is to encourage cultural diversity and understanding between nations, to stimulate the development of quality cinema, to promote filmmakers and innovative works, to discover and encourage new talents, and to promote meetings between cinema professionals from around the world. Deadline for shorts and medium length films (less than 60 minutes) is June 15th. Deadline for feature films (above 60 minutes): July 6th.

Anim'est - International Animation Film Festival
Submission deadline: 20/6 – 2015. Festival: October 2-11, 2015
The Anim’est International Animation Film Festival, established in 2006, has become one of Bucharest’s most loved film festival and a recognized event on the international animation scene. The presentations, workshops, master-classes and round tables provide an opportunity to get in touch with the latest creations and make contacts.

Budapest International Documentary Festival – BIDF
Submission deadline: 30/6 – 2015. Festival: September 23-27, 2015
BIDF is an international competition for creative documentaries from all over the world without thematic restriction, with money awards and an international jury. BIDF invites all directors with films in competition (approximately 40 films) in order to provide our a unique and truly unforgettable experience: not simply a screening, but a festival with Q&A sessions.
