American Documentary Film Festival - AmDocs
Submission deadline: 16/12 - 2017. Festival: April 6-11, 2018
AmDocs' main objective is to promote a world vision of film as seen through the eyes of the filmmaker in order to educate and entertain the film goer. In conjunction with the Palm Springs Cultural Center, the Festival is a non-profit organization. Long the brainchild of local resident Teddy Grouya, the Festival was established to encourage the development of the cultural arts in the Coachella Valley with a specific focus in the areas of film, fine art, live performance, dance, music, and the cultural arts.

Full Frame Documentary Film Festival
Submission deadline: 15/12 - 2017. Festival: April 5-8, 2018
Full Frame celebrates the power and artistry of documentaries. Its mission is to provide filmmakers' opportunities to showcase their work theatrically, stimulating conversation and community between filmmakers, industry executives and the general public.

New York City International Film Festival - NYCIFF

The New York City International Film Festival is committed to bringing the world's cinematography to New York City and to provide a platform for established and upcoming talented domestic and international filmmakers to showcase their work.
Philip K. Dick Film Festival
Submission deadline: 18/12 - 2017. Festival: February 15-18, 2018
The mission of the Philip K. Dick Film Festival is to promote original or adapted material inspired by the works of Philip K. Dick, Jorge Luis Borges, Italo Calvino, Robert Anton Wilson, Franz Kafka and others who have explored the metaphysical, the eerie in all its manifestations. We look at films that push the cinematic form to new levels of creativity and originality without sacrificing narrative cohesion and with an eye to the ineffable. We look at films that challenge the viewers reality with ideas and concepts not normally found in conventional stories. All genres are welcome.
Submission deadline: 22/12 - 2017. Festival: April 11-15, 2018
Go Short is the Dutch festival for short film. For five days, over 280 short films are screened in and around LUX in Nijmegen. Besides screenings there are exhibitions, workshops, performances, parties and more. Go Short accepts all genres in short films for its competition programs, divided in the genres animation, documentary, fiction and experimental/artfilm.
