According to Realscreen, Espresso Productions will specialize in the production and co-production of documentary, music and factual entertainment programming. The firm has also signed a major co-production deal involving an international music star, to be revealed later in autumn this year.

David Hooper, EDN member and Managing Director of Espresso Productions, said the move into production and co-production was a “natural progression for the business.”

“As well as seeking co-production opportunities, with a focus on cutting edge 4K programming, we have a unique slate of quality programming to introduce at MIPCOM,” he said. “Ranging from inspirational musical stories to fascinating space exploration, there’s an array of genres which offer global appeal.”

The portfolio of Espresso Media International includes NASA’s 10 Greatest Achievements, When Africa Arose and Sexpionage. The new music magazine series Jazz @ Metropolis as well as the sports documentary 100 Seconds to Beat The World: The David Rudisha Story are also part of the company's films on offer.
