EDN Seeking Board Members
Are you an experienced and well connected documentary expert? If so, our current Board vacancies may be of interest to you. In line with EDN's process to renew and reboot its association, the European Documentary Network is welcoming applications for candidates for the EDN Board. Together with the director, the new board members will have the great opportunity to shape the future of the largest pan-European documentary association based with its head office in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
Candidates with an extensive professional network throughout the industry and a clear vision for the future of the documentary sector are welcome to apply until 25 October 2019.
EDN is a global membership association connecting thousands of documentary professionals from across the globe, offering a networking platform for all players of the documentary sector. EDN focuses on providing documentary consulting and informing about possibilities for funding, financing, development, co-production, distribution and collaboration across borders.
While the EDN team has already started reaching out to potential candidates, the Board also invites all EDN members to suggest candidates for this position. The proposed candidates will be presented at the General Assembly (G.A.) on 24 November in Amsterdam,
The upcoming G.A. will be the occasion for EDN to present a renewed and refreshed Board with a new management to be able to successfully shape the future of EDN in the months and years to come. The existing board, which solely has "interim status" and helped to reboot EDN after a difficult period in 2018, will step down once the designated director and new board members have been approved at the G.A on November 24th during IDFA in Amsterdam.
At least five board members are needed and the EDN team is looking forward to candidate proposals, submitted by both its members and external professionals.
