The documentary world offers a whole variety of different workshops, pitching sessions and other doc industry events but it's sometimes challenging to keep track of all the dates and submission deadlines. Deadline: 08/11 - 2019. Event dates: February 5 – 7, 2020
MiradasDoc Market is one of the most active markets in the field of international documentary and one of the most important in Europe. Each year, their Pitching contributes to the production of documentaries, encouraging co-production, distribution and pre-sales. Commissioning Editors from all over the world are eager to find viable and exciting projects, mostly of a social nature.

East Doc Platform

Deadline: 08/11 - 2019. Event dates: March 07 –13, 2020

The East Doc Platform (EDP) is the largest co-production, funding and distribution platform tailor-made for Central and East European documentaries, every year connecting 120 East European filmmakers and more than 100 key decision makers - producers, broadcasters, distributors and festival programmers from around the world.

CHP:Forum

Deadline: 15/11 - 2019. Event dates: March 24 – 26, 2020
CPH:FORUM is CPH:DOX’s international financing and co-production event, dedicated to facilitate the development and financing of creative and visually strong film projects. The projects at CPH:FORUM are divided in the four categories: FICTIONONFICTION, CINEMA, F:ACT and ART and aim to attract professionals from related industries to stimulate new production and financing models. CPH:FORUM 2018 takes place on March 21 and 22, 2018.

DOC FORWARD Talent Workshop

Deadline: 15/11 – 2019. Event dates: January 28 – 30, 2020

DOC FORWARD is a project-driven co-production workshop for emerging Nordic documentary producers and directors. The focus is on nationally established and new talent directors with ambitions to go international in partnership with both new and more established producers.

Script Development Workshop

Deadline: 01/12 – 2019, Event dates: March 26 – April 3, 20120

Seven-day session, coached development period, follow-up session. Workshop for professional scriptwriters and teams of writers, producers or directors with a feature-length film project in development: Feature films and creative documentaries for the screen (cinema, television, cross-media, web). Including a supplementary programme.

2020 Filmmaker Residency

Deadline: 02/12 - 2019. Event dates: -
The JFI Filmmaker Residency program is an independent program of the Jewish Film Institute located at the Ninth Street Independent Film Center, which offers access to workspace, knowledge sharing, outreach opportunities, networking events, meeting and exhibition space on an annual basis. Past filmmakers participants have expressed that the program has elevated their status in the film community, lead to additional in-house and outside recognition and resources, aided in securing funding, and provided valuable peer-to-peer interaction.
