East Doc Platform
Deadline: 12/11 - 2018. Event dates: February 9 – 15, 2019
The East Doc Platform (EDP) is the largest co-production, funding and distribution platform tailor-made for Central and East European documentaries. It includes East Doc Market, East Doc Platform and East Doc Initiative. Every year connecting 120 East European filmmakers to more than 100 key decision makers - producers, broadcasters, distributors and festival programmers from around the world. The East Doc Market offers the opportunity to meet with over 100 international funders, broadcasters, distributors, sales agents and festival representatives. Over the course of two days, filmmakers with projects in production and post-production pitch their projects through a speed-dating marathon to the partners of their own choice or the ones who requested specifically to meet the project. EURODOC is a training programme designed for documentary film producers who want to enhance the development stage of their projects on the international level, as well as for commissioning editors and film fund representatives. EURODOC fosters the development of documentary film projects in a highly demanding and creative way. EURODOC facilitates meetings and relations among the most active professionals in the documentary sector in a number of European countries and beyond using their documentary projects as a basis.
Deadline: 15/11 - 2018. Event dates: January 21 – 22, 2019
CPH:FORUM is CPH:DOX’s international financing and co-production event, dedicated to facilitate the development and financing of creative and visually strong film projects. The projects at CPH:FORUM are divided in the four categories: FICTIONONFICTION, CINEMA, F:ACT and ART and aim to attract professionals from related industries to stimulate new production and financing models.
GSDF - Global Short Docs Forum
Deadline: 23/11 - 2018. Event dates: March 26 – 29, 2019
Global Short Docs Forum (GSDF) is a new initiative nurturing filmmakers of documentary shorts and connecting them with digital platforms. GSDF is an initiative by One World Media. 16 filmmakers will be selected to attend the Forum, a 4-day residential workshop, all expenses covered. We're looking for projects up to 30 mins - inspiring stories from people and places less visible in mainstream media. Filmmakers will benefit from expert training, mentoring, and one-to-one pitch meetings with decision makers.
North Pitch - Below ZERO 2019
Deadline: 28/11 - 2018. Event dates: January 16 - 19, 2019
NORTH PITCH — Below Zero is an international pitching session for documentary projects focusing on life above the Arctic Circle. Projects selected will pitch to a panel of international decision makers as well as compete for The Arctic Documentary Award and The Below Zero Award. At the session a wide range of documentary projects on all subjects related to this matter will be pitched. These can be projects focusing on culture, environment, resources, politics, climate changes and indigenous peoples as well as general human stories. The Arctic Documentary Award, NOK 40.000, is granted to the project which has the best political, environmental or cultural relevance to the Arctic and has an international potential for financing and distribution (...)
