Apply for Future Producers School 2015
The Future Producer School is a training initiative by Sheffield Doc/Fest in partnership with Tribeca Film Institute. Deadline for applying is Monday 19 January 5pm (GMT).
The course responds to the current international feature documentary production landscape in the UK, through which a very limited number of successful executive producers are over-subscribed with offers from directors looking for producers.
The course will run from February to July 2015 in London and Sheffield for a group of 12 emerging feature documentary producers. Once the participants are selected, they will take part in an intensive two-day workshop delivered by a host of acclaimed producers.
In June 2015, participants will be invited to Sheffield Doc/Fest to take part in match-made meetings with international executive producers, directors and commissioners. The meetings will be a combination of advisory/mentoring meetings and real market encounters, with both ‘channels’ ultimately then leading to new working relationships for these producers.
Post-event mentoring will follow this to solidify the learnings from the market meetings and provide a framework for continuing relationships established and turning them into ongoing production relationships.
Participation in Future Producer School costs £500+VAT, which includes two-day residential course fee and a Sheffield Doc/Fest full festival pass including one day of match made meetings.
