Archidoc 2016/2017
Deadline: 2/9 – 2016.
In three short residential sessions and one e-session, European directors develop their archive documentary project and start accessing the international market. Working language: English. Session 1: 17 – 22 October 2016, Lisbon, Portugal, during DocLisboa. Session 2: 23 – 28 January 2017, Paris, France. Session 3: 25 – 28 April 2017, Nyon, Switzerland, during Visions du Réel.

IDFA DocLab Academy
Deadline: 12/9 – 2016. Event: November 17-21, 2016
DocLab Academy 2016 is an international program for new talent in the field of documentary storytelling and interactive media. The program takes place November 17-21 during the International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam.

EAVE Producers Workshop 2017
Deadline: 16/9 – 2016. Event: March 2-9, 2017
EAVE is aimed at producers, both fiction and documentary, who are already working in the film and television industries who wish to begin to operate on a European wide basis by increasing their knowledge of producing and co-producing in Europe and by building up a pan European professional network. We also welcome applications from associated branches of the industry – e.g. commissioning, funding, legal and finance, festivals & markets, media administration. Each year fifty participants are selected from most of the EU countries and beyond and take part in three one-week long workshops.

Oscar: Documentary Feature
Deadline: 20/9 – 2016. Event: February 26, 2017
The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences upcoming submission deadline for a Documentary Feature for 89th Academy Awards® consideration. Submissions for individual categories and the General Entry/Official Screen Credits (OSC) form are due by 5 p.m. PT.

Asian Side of the Doc
Deadline: 22/9 – 2016. Event: October 31 – November 3, 2016
At Asian Side of the Doc European and Asian producers having projects with coproduction potential, will be able to meet during three days. Joining them will be about fifty distributors and decision makers from both continents.
