Eko International Film Festival

The annual Eko International Film Festival (EKOIFF) is Nigeria’s leading international film festival happening in the coastal mega city of Lagos in south western Nigeria. The mission of Eko International Film Festival is to promote the appreciation of Arts and Culture through the motion picture arts and sciences and boost tourism in the global village.

ZagrebDox Int. Festival of Documentary Films
Submission deadline: 15/10-2013
The festival is intended for the films from Albania, Austria, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Montenegro, Croatia, Kosovo, Macedonia, Hungary, Serbia, Slovenia and Romania. Documentary films of all running times, topics, styles and production technologies can be submitted.

Festival International Du Film d'Histoire
Submission deadline: 15/10-2013
History is the main them for this annual festival held in Pessac, France. It consists of 10 films dealing with historical, political, social or economic issues. The films are in their original language with French subtitles. The two main criteria for the awards at the festival are the aesthetic qualities of the film and the historical interest.

Big Sky Documentary Film Festival
Submission deadline: 20/10-2013
At Big Sky, taking place in Montana, USA, any non-fiction film or video that has not been screened before at the festival is eligible for entry. In addition to ten days of screenings, the Big Sky will feature public and VIP events including panel discussions, galas, receptions and networking round-tables. Awards and cash prizes will be given for Best Documentary Feature (over 50 minutes), Best Documentary Short (15-50 minutes), Best Mini-Doc (under 15 minutes) and best documentary about the American West (the Big Sky Award).
