EDN will be part of the industry day at the upcoming DOCfeed festival in Eindhoven, The Netherlands. EDN will be represented by EDN Network & Partnerships Manager Laimis Zelnys who will participate in a panel discussion on the necessity of talent development.

The DOC Industry Day returns to DOCfeed with the central theme ‘Talent’ and will this year take place in a new location at LAB-1 in Eindhoven. The DOC Industry Day 2020 will focus on (young) filmmaking talent, including the necessity of talent development programs, the latest trends in the documentary industry and the various talent development programs that the Netherlands has to offer.

During the DOC Industry Day, several talent development programs will be offered a platform to inspire and encourage others (eg. VPRO Dorst, IDFAcademy and Teledoc Campus). The aim will be to imagine and discuss what the future can bring for young filmmakers. The day will offer extensive opportunities to meet other filmmakers and producers in an informal way.

Among the guests who will be present at this year's industry day are: Director John Appel (known for his documentary ‘Zij gelooft in mij’), Suzanne van Voorst (Nederlands Filmfonds and Teledoc Campus), Paul Pauwels (Former director European Documentary Network) and Margit Balogh (EO documentary). In short, it will be a day full of tips & tricks, inspiring masterclasses, extraordinary screenings and interesting speed dates. The DOC Industry Day is a collaboration between DOCfeed, KONKAV, Docwerk, Pop Up Cinema and Van Osch Films with support of the Netherlands Film Fund.
