September 9 - 10, 2019.  Hotel Park Avenue, Piestany, Slovakia

DOX IN VITRO is aimed at young producers and documentary filmmakers who will be introduced to the „real world“ of the European film market and documentary films. The workshop will focus on the development of documentaries under the guidance of experienced tutors and emphasize the role and need of co-productions in today's documentary sector. The submission deadline is 16 August 2019.

DOX IN VITRO (documentary projects in a test tube) is a two-day workshop focusing on the development of documentary projects organized with its main partner, European Documentary Network (EDN). It is designed for up and coming producers and documentary filmmakers from Central Europe. Through presentations by leading international experts the event will spotlight essential considerations for telling stories that can travel. This includes both the creative approaches for telling documentaries and considerations around the European documentary market.
