March 22, 2018. Kunsthal Charlottenborg. Copenhagen, Denmark.
Alongside this year's edition of CPH:DOX, EDN Director Paul Pauwels will host a meeting and presentation on EDN's Media and Society initiative. The session will take place on Thursday 22nd of March, between 14:30 and 16:30 in the Kunsthal Charlottenborg, Nyhavn 2, Copenhagen, in the so-called "Living Room" space.
The EDN initiative "Media and Society: Documentary in a Changing Media Landscape" is a project aiming to bring together policy and practice in today's audiovidual industry, affirming the independent documentary as a cornerstone of the European media environment. The initiative will serve as a basis for developing steps towards a more sustainable future by involving the sector's key stakeholders and publishing a policy document, or 'White Book', that will set out clear recommendations for the future. The interim results from the online survey and the local meeting moments will be presented in November 2018 at IDFA in Amsterdam.
