EDN at IDFA 2018
EDN will be present at IDFA in Amsterdam from 16 - 22 November 2018.
EDN is involved in a number of activities during this year's IDFA festival as well as the industry sections "Docs for Sale" and "IDFA Forum". Here is an overview of where and when you can meet the EDN staff at public sessions and events at IDFA 2018.

Pitch training for the Korean Delegation (KCA)

EDN Director Paul Pauwels conducts a pitch training workshop with KCA (Korean Communication Agency) focusing on the projects that have been selected for the Korean Pitch (to take place on Saturday).
Think Tank — Code of Conduct: Towards an Ethical Way of Coproducing

A preparation Think Tank before the panel discussion on Saturday 17 about the ethics in co-productions will be moderated by EDN Head of Studies Mikael Opstrup.

EDN General Assembly

EDN welcomes all members to participate in the yearly EDN General Assembly. Besides dealing with key matters of the association, it is also the place where members can meet, greet and have a dialogue about the future development of EDN. Media and Society Meeting at IDFA 2018

EDN invites all professionals working in documentary and media related fields to participate in the 'Media & Society' initiative designed to support the European documentary sector and set out a blueprint for a sustainable future. This year's session in Amsterdam will include the presentation of the preliminary results of a survey conducted among documentary professionals throughout 2017 and 2018. Europa Distribution Workshop — The Act of... Releasing: How to bring documentaries to theatres successfully?

EDN Network & Partnerships Manager Cecilie Bolvinkel will be member of the industry panel "The Act of... Releasing: How to bring documentaries to theatres successfully?". As part of the Europa Distribution Workshop, this panel will explore the question of what is needed to make the theatrical release of documentaries successful in terms of marketing and audience engagement strategies.
