During this year's edition of Sheffield Doc/Fest, EDN will be represented by EDN Director Paul Pauwels, who - among other activities - will be moderating two sessions related to the funding award of Whicker's World Foundation. We will also be offering an EDN Networking Dinner on the evening of 12 June 2017.

EDN's activities during Sheffield Doc/Fest will include the following elements:

June 9: KCA Pitch Training
EDN will be organizing a pitch training session for Korean filmmakers in collaboration with KCA — Korea Communications Agency.

June 10: Pitch Training Session for Finalists of Whicker’s World Foundation Funding Award
In preparation of the final pitch that will be moderated by Paul Pauwels on 11 June, EDN will also advise the teams on how to successfully present their project. Several 30 minute sessions are planned for this year's pitch training.

June 11: Moderating the final pitch of Whicker’s World Foundation (Funding Award)
EDN Director Paul Pauwels will be moderating the final pitch for the funding award of Whicker's World Foundation. The foundation's jury had previously selected the finalists for all three award categories: the Funding Award, Veteran’s Award and Audio Award. The finalists will be presenting the final pitch and the winners will be announced throughout the course of the festival. June 12: EDN Networking Dinner
EDN will also be organizing a networking dinner in connection with the 2017 edition of Sheffield Doc/Fest. All EDN members are invited to participate. For further information about how to sign-up and take part, please visit this link.

June 13: Market Mentors at Sheffield Doc/Fest The Market Mentors programme is a collaboration between EDN and Sheffield Doc/Fest bringing together emerging documentary filmmakers and experienced industry professionals with the aim to provide advice, feedback and training for up-and-coming documentary talents and their projects.More information about the Market Mentors programme can be found here.
