Toronto International Film Festival - TIFF
Submission deadline: 1/6 – 2018. Festival: September 06 - 16, 2018
TIFF is dedicated to presenting the best of international and Canadian cinema and creating transformational experiences for film lovers and creators of all ages and backgrounds. TIFF offers screenings, lectures, discussions, festivals, workshops, events, professional development and opportunities to meet, hear and learn from filmmakers from Canada and around the world. They accept national and international submissions in shorts, features and documentaries.

Raindance Film Festival
Submission deadline: 1/6 – 2018. Festival: September 26 – October 7, 2018
Raindance showcases features and shorts made by independent filmmakers from all around the world to an audience of film fans, journalists, acquisition executives, actors, producers and directors. Raindance accepts fictional, documentary and experimental features, short films, music videos and children’s films. Raindance programme includes panels, market, networking events and a VRX programme. It is based in the heart of London and attracts 500 industry proffesionnals as well as 16.000 visitors.

Venice International Film Festival - La Biennale di Venezia

The aim of the festival is to encourage awareness of all various aspects of cinema as art and spectacle, thus stimulating creative activity through a process of comparison and study. The glamour of the Venice Film Festival (attended by many high profile stars) as well as the link with the upcoming Academy Awards has helped raise the Venice Film Festival's profile. The event has an established reputation for showcasing emerging cinema, including films from Europe, Asia, Africa and Latin America.

Camerimage International Film Festival
Submission deadline: 30/6 – 2018. Festival: November 10 - 17, 2018
Camerimage is a international film festival devoted to the art and craft of cinematography has launched the selection process for its 26th edition. All filmmakers, producers and distributors are invited to submit feature films, documentaries, music videos, TV pilots and student etudes for the festival's consideration. It is based in Poland and is academy qualifying.

Kuala Lumpur Eco Film Festival - KLEFF
Submission deadline: 30/6 – 2018. Festival: October 22 - 28, 2018
The Kuala Lumpur Eco Film Festival is one of the first and biggest environmental film festivals in Malaysia. In the last six years, the Festival has reached out to approximately 46,000 Malaysians through its film screenings at selected venues all over the Peninsula. KLEFF, as a film competition, encourages film makers, amateur or professional, to submit their environment-themed videos or films in various genres such as short film, documentary, animation, public service announcement (PSA), music video and so forth. As a festival, members of the public are invited to view official selections and submitted films, are given opportunities to engage in environmental workshops and talks, are treated to music performances by local artists, and are able to peruse the merchandise and services of local eco-friendly companies.

Zurich Film Festival

The aim of the Zurich Film Festival is to offer audiences insight into the work of the most promising filmmakers from around the globe, and to promote the exchange of ideas between established film workers, creative talent and the public. Emerging directors have the opportunity to present their films to the wide attention of the entire German-language market. Participants come from around the globe and include both emerging and renowned filmmakers as well as buyers, sellers, distributors, media professionals and industry leaders.
