SWIM LAB 2014 call for projects

SWIM LAB 2014 is an eight-month, three stage training scheme for transmedia projects. Deadline for applications is February 12, 2014.

SWIM LAB is designed for content creators working across various creative disciplines such as film, media, journalism, music, art, design, technology, gaming and communication. The lab facilitates interactions and collaborations between content producers, experts and financiers, helping your project get out into the world.

The lab organisers are currently accepting applications for the 2014 edition, and therefore looking for innovative projects and teams. The participants will be gaining skills in order to develop concept, business potential and engagement strategy for their project.

Projects should be within one of the two workshop tracks:

IMPACT!: Social entrepreneurial projects that want to engage in social change processes. With a purpose and a mission to bring positive solutions to society.  

SO COMMERCIAL!: Cutting edge projects that want to engage with new media partners and commercial brands. Projects with a potential to attract a large audience and the ambition to get out into the world. 

The requirements to apply for the SWIM LAB are:

  • ·       At least one of the applicants must be based in The Øresund Region (Copenhagen/Southern Sweden Region)
  • ·       At least one of the elements in the project must be audiovisual
  • ·       Full commitment to- and participation in the three labs
  • ·       High proficiency in English.

The fee for taking part in SWIM LAB is 1100 € per participant and includes the development process, course materials, tutors, experts and technology required for prototyping, a full festival pass for CPH:DOX 2014 as well as accommodation for 2 out of 3 workshops.
