In this edition of EDN congratulates! we are proud to announce that three EDN forum and workshop projects received awards at various documentary industry events.

Best Social & Human Interest Pitch

Keeping track of how projects and finished films are doing is of great importance not only to filmmakers but also to the European Documentary Network, especially when projects have been developed or pitched at EDN forums and workshops. Therefore we are proud to announce three titles that have gained official recognition through through awards and/or acquisition of development funding. The projects were previously co-developed at the EDN initiatives Docs in Thessaloniki and Twelve for the Future.

The failure of Lehman Brothers plunged the world into a financial crisis of a magnitude never seen. The world never really recovered. And nothing has really changed. Banks are still making obscene profits, stock prices are back to their usual levels. On the other hand, wages are going down, unemployment rates have skyrocketed.
