The EDN Talent Grant is created in co-operation between the Sarajevo Film Festival and EDN with the purpose of supporting promising new documentary filmmakers from the East European region. The winner is selected among the filmmakers with a documentary in competition at the festival.

The EDN Talent Grant includes:

- A free observer pass to the next edition of the EDN pitching forum Docs in Thessaloniki, a reference event where new documentary projects are developed - supported by international tutors - and finally pitched to a panel of international commissioning editors and industry professionals

- A one-hour personal meeting with the EDN team member in charge of the forum's workshop, for a debriefing of the workshop results

Down There | Directors: Đorđe Cenić, Hermann Peseckas | Austria

Synopsis: How can it be that for years, between the late 1960s and 1990s, primary school children were swearing an oath to Yugoslav president Tito in community centers across Austria? And why did they have to learn about the Yugoslav system of worker's self-management and about the exploitation of working classes in capitalism in a capitalist country far away from their homeland? And what is "home" anyway? How does a communist turn into a nationalist overnight?
