EDN Congratulates! Four EDN Workshop Projects Selected for IDFA Forum


EDN congratulates! is a series of news stories where we congratulate documentary teams from EDN workshops when they have achieved great results. In this edition of EDN congratulates! we are proud to once again announce four projects that made it into this year's selection of IDFA Forum.

Following IDFA's recent announcement of projects selected for this year's edition of IDFA Forum, we are proud to reveal five projects that have previously participated in EDN workshops and pitching forums. IDFA Forum is Europe's most important breeding ground for new documentary projects, and an essential meeting place for filmmakers, television commissioning editors, documentary stakeholders and independent documentary producers. Below you will find an overview of selected projects that had previously attended EDN workshops and formats like the EDN Outreach & Distribution Workshop in Oslo (with NFI:LAB), Docs in Thessaloniki 2011, Crossing Borders and EDN Twelve for the Future Rough Cut Session.

Logline: The film follows director Sofia Haugan's personal journey to reconnect with her drug-addicted father.

One Bullet Afghanistan

Pitched at: Docs in Thessaloniki 2011

Logline: One bullet, fired into darkness, hits a boy on a residential street outside Kabul, sending him into the path of a woman filmmaker embedded with International Security Forces in Afghanistan.
