February 19, 2020, 19:00 - 21:00. Amsterdam, The Netherlands. OT301 Community Center/Cinema of the Dam'd.
EDN will be organizing a screening and networking event on 19 February in Amsterdam in the OT301 Community Center. Director Xavier van Delft will showcase impressions of his upcoming documentary "The Hole in my Life", which is currently in development, and provide insights into documentary filmmaking and financing in a moderated Q&A session.
Are you a young filmmaker living in or around Amsterdam? Do you want to find out what it takes to make your first documentary? Do you want to meet other aspiring local documentary filmmakers and film lovers? Join us for our first EDN Film and Networking Night, during which EDN member and director Xavier van Delft will present the intricate details of how his new feature documentary The Hole in my Life was created, followed by a showcase of segments of this not-yet-released film. Van Delft's project previously participated in the EDN Pitching Workshop "Lisbon Docs".
Xavier will talk about the process of starting to work on a documentary, how to search for funding, his experience with pitching forums and many other practical issues that they don’t teach you in film school. There will also be a Q&A session during which you can ask Xavier any questions related to documentary filmmaking.
